When creating a marriage biodata, deciding what NOT to include is just as important as knowing what details to write down.

Because biodata documents are often forwarded through WhatsApp groups, email chains, and family matchmakers, including overly sensitive or private details can expose you and your family to privacy risks or identity theft.

Critical Privacy Rule:
A marriage biodata is a document for preliminary introduction. It should never contain government identification numbers, financial account credentials, or exact private house numbers.

7 Things You Should Exclude from Your Marriage Profile

1. Government Identification Numbers (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID)

Identity verification is appropriate later during personal family meetings, but official ID numbers have zero place on an initial biodata PDF.

2. Bank Account Details & Financial Information

Never list bank account numbers, UPI IDs, credit limits, property survey numbers, or detailed asset valuations. Mentioning an approximate annual income range is standard, but detailed financial statements should remain private.

3. Full Residential Address (Flat/House Number)

Listing your city, neighborhood, or native hometown (e.g., "Gomti Nagar, Lucknow" or "Malviya Nagar, Jaipur") provides sufficient location context. Avoid giving exact flat numbers or door numbers on circulating documents.

4. Personal Mobile Numbers of Young Women

For safety and to prevent unsolicited spam calls, prospective bride profiles should list a parent's (Father or Mother) contact number as the primary contact person.

5. Negative Statements or Unrealistic Conditions

Avoid writing aggressive demands or negative lists (e.g., "Do NOT call if..."). Keep partner expectations warm, positive, and focused on shared values.

6. Overly Personal Past History

Keep the biodata focused on present facts: education, profession, family background, and basic horoscope info. In-depth personal conversations belong in face-to-face meetings.

7. High-Resolution Unwatermarked Loose Photo Files

Embed your photograph directly into the formatted PDF document rather than attaching raw, loose image files that can be easily downloaded and reused by unknown parties.
